Transportation Resiliency Survey

Part 1 of a 2-Part Input Opportunity

This survey will take approximately 10 minutes and is the first of two parts. Your responses can be anonymous and will be used to inform regional planning efforts and potential transportation improvements in your community.

This survey is designed to gather insights into how our transportation system can better prepare for, respond to, and recover from unexpected disruptions, such as extreme weather, natural disasters, or other emergency events.

MARC’s goal is to support the region’s ability to limit disruptions to the transportation system as well as reduce climate hazards’ disproportionate impact on vulnerable populations.

A resilient transportation system is:

Flexible – Users can take a different route or a different mode (such as transit instead of driving) if one is impacted.
Equitable – One group is not overly burdened by climate and weather-related hazards impacting their transportation system such as extreme heat or roadway flooding.
Robust – Roads, bridges, and other infrastructure are designed and maintained to resist extreme weather events and climate hazards.
Proactive – The transportation system utilizes smart technology and community partnerships to better predict potential transportation disruptors that help mobility rebound more quickly.
Community-Focused – Balances community-scale needs with regional vision of resilience.

Your input will help us to understand how climate hazards and extreme weather events impact transportation in your community. MARC will use your responses to develop a regional transportation resiliency plan.
